Local specs and pricing have been confirmed for the updated 2021 Audi S4 and S5 range ahead of an Australian arrival in October.

 

Audi will offer the S4 in Sedan and Avant body styles, while the S5 can be had in Sportback, Coupe and Cabriolet forms.

 

Every variant is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine producing 260kW of power and 500Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the permanent quattro all-wheel drive system.

 

The self-locking centre differential can direct 40 per cent of the torque to the front axle and 60 per cent to the rear in normal driving conditions, with up to 85 per cent directed to the rear wheels when required.

 

In terms of straight-line performance, Audi claims a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.7 seconds for the S4 Sedan and S5 Coupe, 4.8 seconds for the S5 Sportback, 4.9 seconds for the S4 Avant and 5.1 seconds for the S5 Cabriolet.

  

Standard equipment includes S-specific sport suspension with adaptive damper control, LED headlights, heated front S sports seats with electric adjustment and massage function, Nappa leather upholstery, Audi virtual cockpit, wireless phone charging and stainless steel pedals.

 

Infotainment is courtesy of the new 10.1-inch MMI touch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system.

 

The S4 rides on 19-inch Audi sport alloy wheels in matte titanium gloss finish and red brake calipers, while the S5 gets 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels in gloss-look anthracite black and red calipers embossed with an S logo.

 

The S5 Cabriolet gets an automatic acoustic folding hood that can open within 15-seconds, at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

 

Moving to safety, all S4 and S5 models come standard with park assist, a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control with stop & go and traffic jam assist, exit warning, rear cross-traffic assist, speed limiter, lane change warning, side assist, turn assist and collision avoidance assist.

 

All versions of the updated S4 and S5 are expected to arrive locally in October.
