Following last week’s release of the i30 hatch, Hyundai has announced specs and pricing for the new i30 sedan which takes the place of the Elantra.
Pricing starts at $24,790 before on-road costs for the Active manual and peak at $37,290 plus on-roads for the N Line Premium auto.
Interestingly, unlike the hatch range, the sedan line-up misses out on an entry-level i30 variant. The sedan range will consist of Active, Elite, N Line and N Line Premium grades.
Every model is equipped with autonomous emergency braking with forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a junction turning function.
Lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, rear occupant alert and driver attention monitoring are also included.
Elite and N Line models also feature safe exit alert and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Dimensionally, the Sedan measures 4676mm long, 1826mm wide and 1414mm tall, with a 2720mm long wheelbase. The luggage capacity is listed at 474L.
Moving to the powertrains, the Active and Elite are equipped with a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 120kW of power and 203Nm of torque. It’s matched to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
The N-Line and N-Line Premium variants get a turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine developing 150kW and 265Nm. It’s paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The new i30 sedan is available to order now.
