Kia Australia has confirmed pricing for the new Sorento SUV will start at $45,850 plus on-road costs.
Four grades will be offered – S, Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line – with both petrol and diesel engine options with the latter to be in showrooms first.
Pricing for petrol models starts at $45,850 plus on-roads for the S and goes through to $60,070 plus on-road costs for the GT-Line.
The diesel variants kick off at $48,850 plus on-roads for the S and max out at $63,070 plus on-roads for the GT-Line.
Petrol models are equipped with a 3.5-litre petrol V6 developing 200kW and 332Nm. It’s paired with a conventional eight-speed automatic that drives the front wheels.
The diesel Sorento uses a 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit to produce 148kW and 440Nm. It’s matched with the brand’s new wet-type eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and an on-demand all-wheel drive system.
New features in the entry-level S include a front centre side airbag (between driver and passenger) whilst the Sport gains a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Multi Connection Bluetooth.
In the Sport+ a new set of USB charging points have been added for back seat passengers.
The Sorento GT-Line will feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, blind-spot monitor, a shift-by-wire dial instead of a gear lever and remote smart parking assist.
