Lexus has announced updates to the RC coupe range with the changes focusing on improving the driving experience and safety.
Headlining the upgrades is the addition of new adaptive control software for the eight-speed automatic transmission on both the RC300 and RC350 variants.
The new software delivers more assertive shifts in 'Sport' and 'Sport+' modes, while ‘Normal’ mode favours higher gears for greater efficiency.
All models also get a revised rear suspension set-up featuring a larger diameter stabiliser bar with reduced wall thickness and newly developed high-strength aluminium for the upper arm.
On the inside, the RC is now equipped with an electric park brake replacing the old foot-operated unit.
Safety gets a boost with all-speed Radar Active Cruise Control (RACC) included on all models as standard.
The updated RC is also offered in two new colours: Sonic Chrome and Celestial Blue.

Both powertrains have been carried over for 2021. The RC300 uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 180kW of power and 350Nm of torque.
The RC350 gets a naturally-aspirated 3.5-litre V6 engine developing 232kW and 380Nm.
Each engine is matched to an eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
