The covers have come off the 2021 MG ZST bringing additional style, safety and tech to the ZS range priced from $28,490 plus on-road costs.
As with the wider ZS range, MG will offer the ZST in two trim levels: Excite and Essence.
Both variants will pack a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine producing 115kW and 230Nm, it’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. According to MG, on the combined cycle consumption is rated at 7.1L/100km.
Differentiating the ZST is a gloss black front grille, wing mirror covers and side sills, new front and rear bumpers, front and rear smoked LED lights, unique 17-inch two-tone machined alloy wheels and red brake calipers.
Safety is also given a significant boost with the inclusion of the MG Pilot suite of safety tech which brings autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, traffic jam assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, automatic headlights and a 360-degree camera.
On the inside, there’s an updated 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite navigation, Bluetooth, three USB ports and a six-speaker sound system.

Both Excite and Essence grades are available in two standard no-cost colours – York White and Pebble Black – with metallic options Brighton Blue, Diamond Red and Sterling Silver attracting a $500 premium.
The MG ZST is available to order now with deliveries set to commence from mid-September.
Priced from $28,490 plus on-road costs for the Excite and $31,490 for the Essence.
