The fully-electric 2021 Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo wagon has been revealed overnight ahead of an Australian release later this year.

At launch, Porsche will offer two grades: the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo and Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo.

Pricing for the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo starts from $201,000, while the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo begins at $271,200 plus on-road costs, respectively.

Dimensionally, the Cross Turismo is 4974mm long, 1967mm wide, 1409mm tall, and rides on a 2904mm wheelbase.

For context, when compared to the regular Taycan, the Cross Turismo is 11mm longer, 1mm wider, 28mm taller, and has a 4mm longer wheelbase.

Porsche claims the new body style offers rear passengers an additional 36mm of headroom. There’s also an extra 80L of boot space for a total of 446L which expands to 1212L with the rear seat folded down.

Both Australia bound variants are equipped with the 93.4kWh Performance Battery Plus that drives an electric motor on each axle to power the all-wheel drive system.

In the Cross Turismo 4S, the system develops 360kW in standard mode and 420kW/650Nm during overboost. Porsche claims a 0-100km sprint time of 4.1 seconds, while a fully charged battery offers between 388 and 452km (WLTP test cycle).

The Turbo Cross Turismo gets upgraded electric motors to produce 460kW, increasing to 500kW and 850Nm during overboost. The extra power cuts the 0-100km/h sprint time to 3.3 seconds, while the driving range is 395-452km.

Adaptive air suspension comes as standard on both models. There’s also an optional Off-Road Design Package that increases ground clearance by up to 30mm.

The Taycan Cross Turismo is available to order now with local deliveries set to commence during the third quarter of 2021.
