Local specs and pricing have been announced for the new 2021 Skoda Kamiq ahead of a showroom arrival in September.

 

The small SUV starts from $26,990 plus on-road costs for the 85TSI manual and tops out at $35,490 plus on-roads for the Limited Edition variant.

 

Built on the modular transverse matrix (MQB) the Kamiq measures in at 4241mm long, 1793mm wide, 1531mm tall with a 2651mm wheelbase.

 

In terms of space, the boot capacity is 400 litres which can grow to 1395 litres with the rear seats folded. The front passenger seat can also be folded down to transport longer items up to 2447mm in length.

 

At launch, Skoda will offer three grades with a choice of two engines. The 85TSI is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 85kW and 200Nm. It’s matched to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.

  

The Monte Carlo and Limited Edition variants use a 110TSI 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit developing 110kW and 250Nm. It’s paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic. Every Kamiq variant is front-wheel drive only.
