Toyota Australia has announced the legendary LandCruiser 70 Series is getting a technology boost.
Cab chassis, wagon and troop carrier variants of the off-roader will now feature a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, voice recognition and Bluetooth connectivity. Disappointingly, there’s no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Further upgrades include two front USB ports, a 12-Volt accessory power input, a larger smartphone holder and the addition of a cupholder in the passenger-door bin.
Depending on the variant, prices have increased by between $2360 and $5460 meaning prices now start at $68,950 plus on-road costs for the Workmate single cab chassis ute.
Power continues to come from the 4.5-litre turbo-diesel V8 that offers 151kW and 430Nm. It’s matched to a five-speed manual transmission.
