The Jaguar F-Type range has been revised for 2022 with the British sports car now exclusively powered by the brand’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine.
For 2022, Jaguar has axed the turbocharged four-cylinder and supercharged V6 options. Buyers are now limited to a choice of a new P450 V8 option and the flagship R V8 unit.
As a result of the engine changes, the entry price of the F-Type jumps to $159,900 plus on-road costs.
The F-Type P450 is available as a coupe and convertible in R-Dynamic trim. In this application, the supercharged V8 produces 331kW of power and 580Nm of torque.
An eight-speed automatic transmission sends drive to the rear wheels.
In the flagship F-Type R, the V8 is tuned to deliver 423kW and 700Nm. It’s matched with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.
The P450 can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds while the R can do the same dash in 3.7 seconds.
All models get Jaguar’s Switchable Active Sports Exhaust system with quad outboard mounted exhaust pipes.
The R gains a fixed panoramic roof, premium paint, tyre pressure monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, aluminium paddle shifters, an exterior black pack, and 20-inch satin grey alloy wheels as standard.

Jaguar says the first deliveries of the 2022 F-Type will begin in December 2021.
