Specs and pricing have been announced for the updated Volkswagen Arteon range ahead of its return to Australia in the fourth quarter of this year.
The expanded range includes a new powertrain and a shooting brake wagon variant. Prices start at $59,990 plus on-road costs for the 140TSI Elegance liftback and top out at $68,990 plus on-roads for the 206TSI R-Line shooting brake.
At launch, the Arteon will be offered in two trim levels across both body styles. Scroll below for each grade’s equipment highlights.
The 140TSI variants are powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque. It’s paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.
Arteon 206TSI models also use a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, but outputs are lifted to 206kW and 350Nm. It’s also matched with a seven-speed DSG, however, power is sent to all four corners through the brand’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
The new Arteon range is available to order now with deliveries set to commence in the final quarter of 2021.
