Aston Martin has revealed the DBS GT Zagato at the Newport Concours event in the United States.
The DBS GT Zagato is billed as the modern twin to the previously unveiled DB4 GT Zagato Continuation.
Power comes from the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 from the DBS Superleggera, in this instance, it’s tuned to produce 567kW of power.
Presented in the exclusive Supernova Red, the exterior features a carbon-fibre roof and rear diffuser, and 21-inch wheels finished in satin black and gold.
There’s also solid 18-carat gold wings badges at the front and rear, a black anodised active front grille, along with gold anodised side strakes and centre-lock wheel nuts.
On the inside, the display model is trimmed in Caithness Spicy Red leather, Zagato ‘Z’ seat quilting and satin-twill exposed carbon-fibre fitted to both the steering wheel and shift
paddles.
The interior is fitted with a selection of 3D-printed elements with an interlocking parametric design. These parts, used for the climate control knobs, instrument binnacle and central tunnel saddle can be made from carbon, aluminium or metal, which is then vacuum-coated in gold.
Only 19 examples of each car will be built, and they are sold as a pair. Despite the £6 million ($10.9 million) starting price before any on-road costs, all 19 are already sold.
