The recently tested Audi Q3 has come up trumps with Euro NCAP awarding a five-star safety rating.
Thanks to a host of safety kit, the Q3 achieved strong scores across the categories of Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assist with 95 per cent, 86 per cent, 76 per cent and 85 per cent achieved respectively.
Standard safety features included on the Q3 comprise of the Audi pre sense basic and Audi pre sense front. Visual, audible and haptic warning cues are provided to the driver through the systems. Also included as standard equipment is side assist and active lane assist.
Optional assistance packages available include adaptive cruise assist, camera-based traffic sign recognition, parking system plus, high-beam assist and emergency assist.
Also adding to the safety scope is the construction of the Q3 with components formed from hot-shaped steel which offer low weight with extreme strength and lay the foundation for high crash safety and rigidity.
The five-star rating applies to 2018 Audi Q3 vehicles onwards.
