Lamborghini has taken virtual slavery to the next level by incorporating Amazon’s cloud-based virtual assistant Alexa into the 2020 Huracan EVO range.

On display at the CES, Lamborghini is the first car manufacturer to introduce the service.

Alexa will be able to control functions such as climate, interior lighting and seat heating with a simple voice command, leaving the driver to focus on the road ahead.

EVO owners can also use Alexa to place calls, get directions, play music and audiobooks, along with checking news headlines and weather.

Integration of Alexa will also allow Lamborghini owners to connect to the growing number of compatible devices which includes everything from entry gates to thermostats and lights, directly from the vehicle.

“Our vision is for Alexa to become a natural, intuitive part of the driving experience, and Lamborghini has embraced that by integrating Alexa directly into its onboard infotainment systems,” said Ned Curic, Vice President of Alexa Auto at Amazon.

“The integration will enable Lamborghini owners to enjoy the convenience of an intelligent voice service while focusing on the joy of the Lamborghini driving experience, and we expect it to set a new standard for in-car voice experiences when it ships this year.”
