Renault Australia has confirmed the Zoe EV will be available to the public at selected dealerships priced from $47,490 plus on-road costs.
The all-electric Zoe has been available to fleet buyers since late 2017, however, private buyers will now be offered the Zoe in two trim levels: Life and Intens.
The Life variant gets keyless entry, push-button start, climate control air conditioning, tyre pressure monitor and a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Moving to the Interns adds a rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, automatic dusk sensing headlights, rain sensing wipers, leather steering wheel and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Both models get a 41kWh battery pack which produces 68kW and 220Nm through the electric motor. Renault claims the system can deliver up to “300km real-life range.”
Using a 7kW fast-charger, the Zoe can be charged in approximately seven hours.
The Zoe’s performance is unlikely to worry Tesla, it takes 14.5 seconds to reach triple figures.
At this stage, the dealer network for the Zoe only consists of Sydney City Renault in Sydney, Barry Bourke Renault in Melbourne, Unley Renault in Adelaide and Melville Renault in Perth.
There are plans to expand the dealer network to Brisbane, Canberra and Hobart along with additional locations in Sydney and Melbourne.
