A lone vehicle recall notice has been issued this week coming from Mercedes-Benz vans for 2018-2020 Sprinter VS30 models (VINs found here).

 

The recall notice relates to the vehicle’s rear axle steel leaf springs which may not meet the required level of strength leading to the spring potentially breaking.

 

Should a spring break, the driver may have increasingly depleted control of the vehicle which may lead to an increased risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

 

Affected owners are expected to contact their preferred Mercedes-Benz dealer to arrange for an inspection and repair, if necessary, at no cost.
