Volkswagen Australia has announced the availability of a limited-run Amarok V6 580S priced at $70,990 plus on-road costs.

 

Limited to 200 units nationally, the Amarok V6 580S adds to the V6 Ultimate’s equipment level despite being $1800 cheaper to buy.

 

The V6 580S is differentiated by a body-coloured styling bar, a premium roll cover, and a roof-mounted light bar with two 86-watt LED lamps.

 

There’s also an exclusive Carbon Steel Grey metallic paint (Candy White and Deep Black Pearl effect are also available).

 

Further equipment highlights include 20-inch 'Talca' gloss black alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.

 

On the inside, buyers get unique 'Art Velour' seat trim, heated front seats, black headlining, Climatronic air conditioning, and the Discover Media infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

 

Power comes from the 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine in the higher state of tune, producing 190kW (200kW on overboost) and 580Nm. A ZF eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the brand’s 4Motion 4x4 system with a Torsen differential.
