Volkswagen has revealed it will offer 230 examples of the Multivan Black Edition locally priced from $63,990 drive-away.
Based on the seven-seat Multivan Comfortline TDI340, the Black Edition will use a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine offering 103kW of power and 340Nm of torque mated with a seven-speed DSG.
Six colour choices will be available in Cherry Red, Candy White, Acapulco Blue, Tumeric Yellow, Reflex Silver and Indium Grey with the latter four attracting a $1720 metallics premium.
Equipment highlights include black 18-inch alloys, gloss black roof and B-pillars, exclusive cloth seat upholstery in Titanium Black with contrast-coloured seams, black-trimmed turn signals and the decorative ‘Edition’ film on the side sills and at the rear.
Halifax Maple wood-look washable flooring is also included as is the adjustable seating configuration with rail system. This allows the three-seater bench seat to be conveniently folded forward or reclined into a flat-bed.
There is also a speed-sensitive Servotronic steering wheel, colour multifunction display, electric tailgate and parking sensors.
A range of accessories including a tablet holder for the rear seats, bicycle tailgate carrier, luggage compartment trays, roof bars with surfboard carrier, rubber floor mats and a tow bar kit are also available.
As with all new Volkswagen vehicles, the Black Edition will come with a standard five year/unlimited kilometre warranty and the option of service packages.
