After an 18 month wait, Volkswagen Australia has confirmed the 110TSI variants of the Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace are now available to order, lowering the entry price of the Tiguan range to $34,150 plus on-roads.
The three new models comprise the Tiguan 110TSI Trendline and 110TSI Comfortline, along with the seven-seat Tiguan Allspace 110TSI Comfortline.
The base-level 110TSI Trendline trim level is only available on the five-seat Tiguan and includes 17-inch Montana alloy wheels, halogen headlights, black roof rails, front and rear parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist with adaptive lane guidance, park assist, a rear-view camera, driver fatigue monitoring, automatic lights, rain-sensing wipers, and an 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
Moving to the 110TSI Comfortline adds an electric tailgate, LED headlights, 18-inch Kingston alloy wheels, electrically folding exterior mirrors, chrome roof rails, keyless entry and start, satellite navigation, three-zone climate control, overhead storage and carpet mats.
All 110TSI models are powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic sends drive to the front wheels.
The 110TSI variants of the Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace will be available in dealerships this month.
