Renault Australia has announced the pricing for limited edition Megane RS Trophy and Megane RS Trophy-R.
The Megane RS Trophy will start from $52,990 (all prices before on-road costs) for the manual and $55,990 for the automatic, while the Megane RS Trophy-R will be priced at $74,990.
According to Renault, the local allocation of the Trophy-R variant is already sold out, however, interested buyers can place their names on a waiting list at Renault’s website, in the event a deal falls through an opportunity to purchase may arise.
The RS Trophy-R uses the same 1.8-litre turbocharged engine from the RS Trophy, it generates 224kW of power and 420Nm of torque. It’s exclusively matched with a six-speed manual gearbox, as it’s lighter than the dual-clutch EDC.

The Megane RS Trophy uses the same engine but offers buyers the choice of a manual or EDC dual-clutch gearbox.
Standard kit includes four-wheel steering, hydraulic bump stop shock absorbers, stiffer suspension and a Torsen mechanical limited slip differential. You can read more here.
Renault has also confirmed, the sole example of the Megane RS Trophy-R Record Edition headed to Oz will be auctioned early next year. Globally, only 30 examples are available for public sale.
