Fiat has decided to celebrate the success of Carlos Abarth at Italy’s Autodromo Nazionale Monza by releasing a limited edition 124 Spider – dubbed the Monza Edition which will be offered in June from $46,950 drive-away.
Limited to just 30 examples nationally, the Monza Edition will only be available in white, red and black in order to pay tribute to past victories in the European Rally Championships.
Exterior features include red gloss mirrors and auto levelling LED headlights, the latter comes as part of the Visibility Pack which is standard.
The pack also brings LED daytime running lamps, an adaptive front light system, rear park assist, blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert.
A Record Monza exhaust system is fitted to add some meat to the exhaust note delivered through the four pipes. The system uses a mechanically actuated, two-way valve to optimise the sound at high revs.
On the inside, each car will be identified by a numbered special edition plaque installed in the cockpit. Finished in brushed aluminium, the plaque will feature a Monza circuit map. There’s also two-tone black and red leather seats with red stitching and Abarth logos stitched into the upper backrests.
